Welcome to Lincoln-Way Marching Invitational!

On behalf of Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Annual Marching Band Competition! 

Today, we are proud to showcase the talent, dedication, and spirit of some of the finest high school marching bands in the state of Illinois. Your presence here reflects a shared appreciation for the performing arts at the high school level and the incredible work these students and educators put forth throughout the year. 

At Lincoln-Way, we are deeply committed to fostering both academic excellence and social growth for all students. Events like today’s competition highlight the power of music education and the vibrant community that supports it. We thank you for sharing this commitment with us. 

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Lincoln-Way Music Boosters for their tireless efforts in organizing today’s event and for their continued support of our music programs. Their dedication plays a vital role in making this experience memorable for everyone involved.

The Marching Band program at Lincoln-Way has a long and storied history of success with outstanding students and marching bands. The students learn valuable lessons not only in exhibiting outstanding individual performances, but also in the ability to learn team building and positive leadership skills.

Perhaps the most visible of the many Stagg Band ensembles, the Marching Chargers annually perform at all home Charger football games and 5-6 competitions each season. Performances this season include an exhibition performance at the 45th Annual Stagg Marching Band Jamboree, Victor J. Andrew Marching Invitational, Providence Catholic Marching Invitational, Downers Grove South Marching Mustang Bowl, and the Illinois Marching Band Championships. The Batavia Marching Band is an all-volunteer marching band. The band has earned numerous awards and honors throughout their competitive history, including three-time consecutive finalists at the Illinois State Marching Band Championships from 2022to 2024 while earning the Class 4A Runner Up in 2024 and 2025. The Batavia Wind Symphony has performed throughout Illinois at Superstate at the University of Illinois, the Illinois Music Education Conference, the Western Illinois University Showcase of Bands, and the Illinois State Concert Band Festival. For the last nine years, the Batavia Bands host the Batavia Band Festival in February, which is a non-competitive concert band festival for non-top bands. 

The Batavia Marching Band wishes to thank the many students, families, parent volunteers, and patrons for supporting them throughout the marching band season and throughout their time in music in Batavia.

The Waukegan High School Bulldog Marching Band, under the direction of Director of Bands David Grayson and Assistant Director Eddie Ortiz, is a volunteer competitive ensemble that rehearses three days a week outside of the school day only. The BMB performs at four competitions each year, home football games, and select community parades and events. The Waukegan High School Bands are made up of the Bulldog Marching Band, 3 concert bands, 1 percussion ensemble, 3 jazz bands, 2 jazz combos, 2 pep bands, and the musical pit orchestra. The WHS Performing Arts also offers three levels of choir and orchestra, guitar, AP music theory, and music appreciation. The Bulldog Marching Band placed 1st last year at the Sandwich HS competition, 2nd at the Naperville Central HS competition, and 3rd at the Downers Grove South HS marching competition.

Naperville Central HS performs regularly in the Chicagoland area and are excited to participate in the Lincolnway Marching Invitational. The NCHS Band program comprises 3 concert ensembles, marching band, jazz bands, chamber ensembles, steel pan ensembles as well as the “Drumshow” percussion ensemble showcase. The Marching Redhawks recently performed at the 2025 Bands of America Iowa Regional. Since its inception in 2001, the PSHS band program has consistently received high marks and praise at various concert and marching festivals.  Most recently, the PSHS marching cougars earned 2nd place as well as best color guard and general effect in our class at the 2024 Prospect Knight of Champions marching band competition,  and 2nd place and best color guard in our class at the 2024 Naperville Central Marching Classic.

The Pride of Rock Island Marching Band has been a two time Bands of America Regional Finalist, an Illinois Marching Championships Finalist and last year won best percussion, best visual and finish 3rd in class 2A at the Lincoln - Way Marching Invitational.   The band would also like to thank the parents, school district and community for all of the continued support of the program.

The Marching Warriors proudly represent Waubonsie Valley High School and District 204 through a season of high-level performances and competitions. This year, the band will be performing at the Lincoln-Way Invitational and the Illinois Marching Band Classic at the University of Illinois. They’ll also travel internationally to represent their community in the Rome New Year’s Day Parade. The Oswego Panther Marching Band is an extracurricular ensemble that rehearses twice a week.  In addition to performing in parades and home football games, this year the band has also performed at the NIU Red and Black Classic, the ISU Marching Band Championships and their very own Panther Marching Band Review.
