Today you will have the opportunity to watch and hear some of the finest marching bands in the state of Illinois. We appreciate that you have chosen to attend this wonderful event and share in our support of the fine arts at the high school level. Our district is committed to providing opportunities in order to maximize the academic and social growth of all students. We thank you for sharing this commitment with us. The Batavia Marching Band is an all-volunteer marching band. The band has earned numerous awards and honors throughout the 15-year competitive history including two time consecutive finalists at the Illinois State Marching Band Championships and 2024 Class 4A Runner-Up. The Batavia Wind Symphony has performed throughout Illinois at Superstate at the University of Illinois, the Illinois Music Education Conference, the Western Illinois University Showcase of Bands, and the Illinois State Concert Band Festival. For the last seven years, the Batavia Bands host the Batavia Band Festival in February, which is a non-competitive concert band festival for non-top bands.
