Judging Overview
You will be assessing audition videos recorded by Lincoln-Way Students. Links to the videos are included in the judging spreadsheets. The students were responsible for uploading the videos to YouTube. Some have the entire audition in one video, others uploaded two or three different videos. Please email Cary Ruklic ([email protected]) if you have trouble playing a video. I will contact the student and attempt to resolve the issue.
The videos will represent a wide range of ability levels, from students who will audition for All-State next year, to students who have been playing their instruments for only a few months.
Under no circumstances should these videos be viewed by anyone except you.
We will need all the videos assessed and material returned to us by March 13th.
Please fill out a physical judging sheet for each student. This will be shown to the student if requested. Feel free to make limited commentary on the sheet about student strengths and weaknesses. After the sheet has been filled out, please transfer the scores into the shared Google sheet.
The scale sheet should be scored using the bottom of the judging sheet, 10 points for scales in all. The etudes should be scored using the top portion of the Judging Sheet. Each line is worth 20 points for a maximum etude score of 100.
Please feel free to email me with any questions - [email protected]
